Anyone who finds themselves in Georgia needs to stop by Sawnee Mountain Music to check out the beautiful selection of acoustic instruments they carry.

I would love to play as well as both you and your dad, and I would love very much to be able to play great music like this with my son. Cheers, David :o)

Jake, thanks for the friendship - it was great to see you playing with your dad (I'm about his age) - wish my son played too. It has to give you both great happiness.

Hey Jake. Glad to be your friend. Wish I could have picked Wiskey Before Breakfast with my old man. You're playing great.

It,s a Levin mandolin from 1950. I bought it recently on e-bay.

It was cheap aqtually. I only paid 500 swedish kronor, about 75 dollar, for it. It's from a swedish instrument manufactory called Levin. http://www.vintage-guitars.se/Levin_info.htm you can buy one easily any time at swedish e-bay. Of course the shipping cost may make it not worth it.

Jake- thanks for posting (Return to the) Brandywine. My old slow fingers just love the waltzs. I'm going to have to listen real careful a bunch of times; think there is a lot there that I can learn about filling in the melodies for some of the tunes I have been working on recently. Are you starting out with the O-zone version, or just your own good ear?

Are you willing to share your backup track, or is a live duet recording? Thanks!

Got it no problem - sounds great. I'll see if I can have the lead figured out in a couple of weeks and try to post a 'duet'.
Thanks a bunch!

Oh crap, NING has changed again and don't seem to be able to attach files. I'll send via Email - think I have the address.

Guess not, jake@jakecohan.com redirects to JRCohan@UGA.edu and then fails as unfound.
