Never met you before, but I love your articles in FGM (specially when it's about x-picking), and I always read your post on fp-list. I hope I will meet you somewhere and pick with you. Are you going to Winfield ? If not, no problem, you come in Paris France !!!
Thanx to be my friend.
PS : I'm a fan of Pottier too.
Thanks for accepting, and the encouraging words. The hearts willing but the ability is lacking.
Kathy's there's nothing better than sitting down with my guitar on a Sunday afternoon to practice, realizing my fingertips are really beginning to hurt, looking at the clock and seeing that 4 or 5 hours have passed.
I've enjoyed your instruction in FGM...that instruction has been the reason for some of those 5 hour sessions.
Hope you enjoy your time in east tennesse when you come to visit and be apart of Steve's Kamp.
Make today a special day!!
ah yes, Mary Gibbons, the guitar player with Laurie Lewis ; they have done a really great show near Paris (Villejuif), I was there and I've missed you, next time.
It was in 2000 ? ok. The same year we also had Kathy Kallick (the 1st of april, my last daughter was born that day, I'm sure :^)). So, 2000 was a great year for the west coast bg gals in Paris :^) !!! we love that bg here.
Châteauroux ?!? it's near the middle of no-where, are you sure they use euros ? :^)) just kidding, I've family there. uhm...nobody fom Châteauroux around ? :^))
I don't know a luthier in Provence, but there are very interesting luthier in France.
oh yes, the rate..., I understand, good for me to come in US where I hope to meet you in "real".
Thanks Kathy! Something tells me there will be many future opportunities for us to pick tunes together. I love your Clarence sensibilities on the guitar and I admire your careful and respectful nods to his genius in your playing. You and Steve Pottier are both great at that. I will be out your way perhaps in May of '09 with Roberto Dalla Vecchia and I would love to make time to hang out again.
Best always, Mark
