- I am a recently retired College Professor. Although I have been involved in music all of my life, I have never been able to give it the time that I wanted. Now, I am finally able to devote all of my time to playing and learning.
I put my way through College in the 60's in San Francisco playing in a rock band. I recently played mandolin with a local Bluegrass Band, 'The Foggy Memory Boys'. Right now, I am not playing with anyone. I am studying music theory and trying to improve my playing skills.
One of my ongoing interests is finding ways to improve the teaching of music . . . particularly as applied to learning the guitar. I think pedagogy has been overlooked in favour of the teacher's playing skills. They don't necessarily go hand in hand.
I will try and put some MP3's of my playing on my website. There is currently only one example and it is an old recording. I will try and find something newer as soon as possible.
