Favorite Flatpickers: Mark Cosgrove, Steve Kaufman, Jeff White, Robert Shafer, and many more.

Favorite Flatpicking Tunes: Salt Creek, New Camptown Races, Billy in the Lowground, Snow Flake Reel, Cherokee Shuffle, Angeline the Baker, Blackberry Blossom, and just about any other fiddle tune I can fake.

Favorite Guitars: Huss and Dalton, old Gibsons, and anything else that looks used and abused.

Tell us more about yourself (place a Bio here if you wish): I grew up in Utah listening to my dad shred foggy mountain breakdown on the banjo, but I never got into bluegrass and I had no idea what flatpicking was until later in life. I live in New Jersey and I'm in the military. My wife is a great mandolin player and I'm lucky to be married to her. Our daughter usually adds a little percussion to our jamming - by banging her toys on our instruments. We live in Burlington County, NJ - If there are any other Flatpickers in the area, I'd love to hear from you.

Tell your wife to join up over at LeftyFrets.net if she doesn't already belong! It's a group of almost 300 lefty players from around the world and a nice haven for our small lefty world. I'm the administrator there and will approve her application as soon as I get it.
