- I was born in 1984 and I live in the small town Petrvald, in the north-east part of the Czech Republic.
I started playing violin in the music school in Orlova when I was 6. Soon I discovered guitar and I played mostly fingerpicking folk-guitar stuff until I found bluegrass music in the age of 16. With my friends we established the band Kreni in 2000 and since then we have recorded 3 CDs, visited many countries in Europe and played many gigs in the Czech Republic.
Besides Kreni I also play with Petr Brandejs Band (since 2004) and Fragment (since 2006). Sometimes I play as a guest on fiddle with my friends from another bluegrass band Blackjack.
I wrote down some guitar tabs of some well-known song and instrumentals, you can find them on my web-site www.bluegrassguitar.wz.cz.
Besides writing songs for my bands (please visit their web-sites), I also write some tunes for myself. You can hear it on www.myspace.com/ondrakozak. Enjoy!!!
