Levin Guitars that is. My first real guitar was a blonde Levin Goliath. This supposedly is Beth Orton
My first guitar was a Goya M-26 Goliath, made in Gothenburg, Sweden by the Levin Company in 1958. Levin branded the guitars for the North American market with the Goya brand, but that was the only difference.
While Levin-made Goyas were professional quality instruments, Martin later bought the Goya name and used it for imported student quality instruments.
Interestingly, before I was smitten by the Martin bug my first decent guitar was a Levin Goliath Blonde, I guess it was the nearest to a D28, looking, that I could find. I had it a few years and toured with it until I acquired a Martin D28
