Thanks for uploading the music!  I just found the tab for them at http://www.bluegrassguitar.com/leadtabs.html.  Your recordings sound great!   I am just starting and have memorized Blackberry Blossom.  I cannot go very fast at all with it, and I think its because I cannot alternate my picking correctly.  Just curious, do you use finger picks?

MY Reply.
I only use flatpicks (Wegen 1.4mm). One thing to remember is to use only downstrokes for the quater notes and upstrokes for the eighth notes (you may know that already). Once I figured that out it was alot easier.  Check out this lesson from Mickey Abraham it may help out. http://flatpick.com/lessons/july2008.html

let me know how that works out.

Norman's Preferences

I saw a video in which Norman discussed why he preferred a certain fret when refretting one of his Martin's. I am about to refret my D-35 Martin, and I would like to know if anyone remembers a video in which Norman discusses his choice over the Frets Martin uses. Thank You.7See More
