Hey man sorry it took so long to get back to you. I found out I was in second coming out of the first round but apparently they didn't like my second round tunes so I fell out of the top 3. Oh well that's contests for you. Howd you do at grove?

That's cool. I don't know if I'll get to the Kansas state one. I'll be at winfield for sure but idk what else. What tunes did you play?

Ya man the exercises will definitely pay off. There are so many to do and then go through the arpeggios scales and modes and different groupings and next thing you know you've spent 2 hours working on technique lol.

Angeline the baker was good but It didn't turn out to be as good of a contest tune arrangement as I thought. I've put black and white rag alabama jubilee and Washington county in the rotation due the 2 finals spots. I may rework some of the order to. Who knows.

hey we should probably get together and pick. i live down the hill in alma. my daughter lives in fayetteville and plays guitar and sings around the area quite a bit i occasionally sit in with her but right now she is playing a lot with a group called 3 penny acre. anyway, i'm up on the hill fairly often and sometimes pickwith some folks in siloam and bella vista. what do you think? i do like to play the cherokee shuffle and all of the standard fiddle tunes. ed carr

Hey man. I just thought I'd holler at ya and tell ya I just ordered a new guitar. Rick Faris is going to make me A Honduran Mahogany/Adorondak Spruce guitar. Are you coming to your dads camp thing at any point?

johnathan, where can i get more details about this camp? is this something you can go down to for a day or evening or do you sign up for the whole week? ed
