My first blog...

Hello, really don't know where to begin...

I started to strum the guitar around 5/6 yrs old...

My dear old dad picks the guitar, the banjo, and played a mean accordian..

I can strum the banjo, and do pretty good on the guitar, I have no clue about the accordian...save for

making enough noise to make the animals run and hide...LOL

I have a Mandolin as well, strum a… Continue

At The PGA

**************************** #==(o) ********************************* {

all spoken very quietly} Frank: Well, if you are just joining us we are stage-side at the US Open Guitar Tourney. It's a cover of a very well known song but we'll let you discover for yourself which one. The producer (Jeff McCullough) did a fantastic job, and for less than a buck you can download it, carry it around in your iPod, and play it at your next

party. Let us know what you think. It has plenty of hot… Continue

One day we hear the jangle, the strum of an E chord, the tip-of-a-hat in a G run, or the one-man-band of a fingerstyle song and we’re never the same. We wander through life with a different song in our mind. We notice everything guitar—of course in sound on the radio and in recording—but also the physical… Continue

Freja met the man - Tony Rice

Here is an update on my daughter at ETSU. She went with friends from school down to IBMA in Nashville. She gets to do all the fun things I would have wanted to do. Way back since Freja was small, we have been listening to Tony Rice in the car. My two other daughters usually complain, but once in a while I and Freja can listen to what we want to. I have never had the chance to see Tony Rice, but always whished that I may have the chance some day. I told Freja before she left for IBMA that she… Continue
