Flatpicker Tim May and his fiddle-playing wife Gretchen Priest-May have recently opened a very nice instruction and performance venue in Pegram, Tennessee called the Fiddle & Pick
. This venue, at 456 Highway 70 in Pegram, is located in a 100+ year-old newly-restored building, and is also the home of the Musical Heritage Center of Middle Tennessee . Founded by music educator and Pegram resident Gretchen Priest-May, it is a place where people old and young can come to discover the joy found in making traditional music - mainly, but not limited to, music played on fiddles, banjos, mandolins, guitars and similar instruments - and in particular, music played in the Middle Tennessee region throughout its history.
In addition to affordable private and group lessons, the Fiddle and Pick will feature workshops in advanced instrumental study and will host jam sessions and live musical performances. If you live in the greater Nashville area, or will be visiting the area, stop by and check out Fiddle & Pick!
