Flatpicking Guitar Network

For Fans of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine

I think you will hear me if you push the 'listen' part.

Lately I've found myself almost obsessed with Honey Bee's. I mean I wrote a song called The Honey Bee Way,I hear other songs about them, see them in stores, and hear other folks talking
about them. Bee's!!! I love them. I think what's really happening is that I'm getting over-anxious for Winter to finally finish and Spring to get going.
I live in Minnesota Winter is really Winter here it was a thick one
With the snowiest month finally beginning you know it's coming. YaY!!! The way I feel about this is just like a kid who wants to get the spanking over with. "All right ma get it over with." I can't wait to see flowers, bugs, ants, and grill out. Can't wait to smell the fresh rain and the loamy earth as it's being tilled up. I'm excited for cleaning up the outside, mowing the lawn, walking under the stars without a coat. I want to open up all my windows and door's and let the stale out as I'm letting the light in.
And yes that includes seeing and hearing honey bee's.
See y'all later.

Hey Trevor,
I'm from Michigan, so I absolutely hear ya about working our way into spring. It just so happens that I am a sideline beekeeper. We have had a couple short breaks in the cold and I peeked into my hives to check on the "girls". Some of the hives didn't make it. That happens too frequently. I won't know why until I can really dig into the hive bodies and collect the facts.
But in the meantime, keep thinking spring!

Apart from NY the only time I ever got to the States was to visit Minniapolis, and St Paul, and the snow was still lying deep in Spring!
We've had as long and hard a winter here in Scotland as I can remember with remanants of snow still lying where I live from the last fall in January.
Really enjoyed your song and playing (though I hope your pinky get better soon).
Also agree with your statement: "You're only here once, then your'e gone". So you gotta make the most of the ride while we're here! Also got the smell of the loamy ground all tilled up.
